Print design has taught me endless lessons about simplicity. My natural reaction to a blank canvas is to cover it with chaos; which is only awesome if you’re drafting ideas or are the next Picasso. The CD covers were not a school project, but a personal endeavor. Designing for others effects my thinking by altering my “MVPs,” or main goals of a design. Thoughts solidify into cohesive and concise plans when I exempt my personal preferences.

Composing gifts for others encourages me to try new techniques because I am fixated on astounding them. The struggle with this project was combining two paradoxes; the emotional representation of the track list, and of the intended receiver. I feel satisfied with these designs because fulfilled this challenge. My ambitious and competitive nature delivered a unique outcome; which is why I have included it in my portfolio.
