Earth Zone Nutrition started out with John & Tonya Cozatt opening one location at the Hunt Club Plaza in Short Gap, WV in 1994. The idea came to us because we liked supplementing with vitamins and herbs ourselves, and at the time could only find one place to shop. 
We soon realized it was going to be quite an expense getting started, but gradually added new products and increased our inventory. After being open for a year we started to build some regular customer base and eventually decided to add a store in the Keyser area in 1997. 

Since the original opening, Earth Zone has been committed to remaining a small " mom and pop " operation. We also discovered early on that when a new " hot " product hits the market we are able to react much quicker than larger corporate operations in deciding whether to bring it into the stores or not, just one benefit of a small business. We discuss the new item between ourselves ( John and Tonya ) and make a decision right away, allowing us to have new supplements on store shelves in days, rather than months. Going into our 16th year in the nutrition business we also know many of our customers come to us for suggestions or advise on supplements. Keeping up with all the new discoveries in natural medicines is a lot of work but we continue to try, Tonya just finished her B.S. in Holistic Nutrition with Clayton College, holds a Master Herbalist Degree from Humbart Santillo and is also a Certified Body Wrap Technician. John recently received his Master of G-Jo Acupressure ,  holds a MH Degree from Humbart Santillo and recently completed Homeopathy studies with a online school.
