Providence is the capital of Rhode Island and one of the first cities in the United States. Once known for jewelry and silverware the city has rebranded itself as the "Creative Capital" directing its focus on education and the arts. There are many interesting things to do in Providence like exploring the arts and an exciting night life experience, fine dining, and plenty of shopping.
