Our Shop
We are located at 2645 Cleveland Rd. in beautiful Wooster Ohio. We have been in business since 2008. North End Tattoo is co-owned by Chris Smiseck, who is one half of the original founders, as well as Jessica Frazier. We are open Monday thru Thursday 11 am to 6pm. On Friday and Saturday we are open from 11am until 8pm. We take both appointments and walk-ins as well, however, appointments take precedence. We accept Visa, MasterCard, Discover, and Cash as forms of payment. Please feel free to contact us by phone or through our Contact Us page to discuss your next tattoo. If you prefer to email us please include a brief description of the tattoo that you are interested in as well as providing us with your contact information.
Here at North End we are very thorough in providing customers with a sanitary environment to avoid any harmful bacteria that may cause infection. We sterilize the tools after every appointment as well as cleaning the workspace both before and after. We believe that you can never take enough precautions when it comes to the safety of our customers.
Another procedure that we follow is having the customer fill out a waiver and answering a few questions prior to beginning the tattoo. Afterwards the customer will be provided with a set of post care instructions. It is very important to follow these guidelines to ensure that the tattoo heals properly. In case you lose these instructions we have included them at the bottom of this web page. We can’t emphasize enough that our customers are very important to us and if you ever have any concerns before or after you receive your tattoo please feel free to ask us. We look forward to hearing from you soon.
Tattoo Aftercare
- Leave the bandage on for 2 hours
- Dampen bandage before removal (in the case any blood is sticking to bandage)
- Wash the tattoo with cool to warm water
- Showering is OK, use your hand to wash the tattoo (no wash cloths or loofas) when done in the shower use a clean towel to pat dry
- If NOT in the shower wet tattoo then apply an antibacterial soap, then get your hand wet and remove any soap from the tattoo
- Apply aftercare ointment provided by the artist, do this 2 times a day (once in the morning and once in the evening)for 2-3 days (a small amount goes a long way, adding too much can over moisturize the area and draw ink from the tattoo and become oozy and gross, so use a small amount)
- After 2-3 days with ointment go to an unscented hand lotion, scented hand lotions may have alcohol in them and cause a burning sensation (if it burns don’t use it)
- Tattoos are wounds, there is always a chance of infection (we are putting a colorful scar on your body), so wash the tattoo before each application up to 2 weeks or until all color flaking and or scabbing comes off.
- Your tattoo may color flake or scab, do NOT pick or scratch at it, let the flaking fall off on its own
- Do NOT swim or sun bathe for 2 weeks this means no tanning
- After 2 weeks, if in the sun use a sunblock. The sun is horrible for tattoos
- If you ever feel the tattoo is not healing properly consult your tattoo artist, never be afraid to go back to the artist, they will most likely know what to do.
- If anything needs fixed you get one no charge touch up, the tattoo has to be at least 1 month old for smaller tattoos, 2 months for larger tattoos
- We hope getting your first or new tattoo was an enjoyable experience and look forward to seeing you again
