There is far less biodiversity in the desert due to the lack of water and the extreme heat. It is just not a suitable place to live for most of earth’s creatures. However, you will still find many ceatures and plants living amongst these rocks and sand. It isn’t quite as desolate as you think.
Plants that survive in the desert do so because they don’t need a constant source of water. The majority of the plants are some sort of cacti.
Due to climate change, the desert bird population is significantly shrinking. The temperatures have gone up and the water available to them has gone down.
