Students of the School of Technology, as part of their tuition, have the opportunity to be reimbursed for taking industry based certification exams. While Rasmussen College is focused on career skills based training, these certifications can provide a positive benefit to students as they enter the workforce or seek promotion. At the start of a career, base level certifications can help provide third party verification of industry specific knowledge. This can be the difference between receiving an interview invitation or a thank you please apply again in the future. With certifications in specific knowledge areas, students can look to further their careers by gaining industry specific technology certification.

Some certifications come with practice test material, which can be requested through the reimbursement site. Additional certification material can be found through Internet searches. Of note, Professor Messer on YouTube has been well received by prior students as assisting in studying for certifications.
