There is a laundry list of tools that will need to be available for the completion of this project. The tools needed are simple in detail but not everyone has them. So it may be important that they are perchased at your local hardware store.
You have a need for some material how do You go about getting them. Well I need to know how much and what kind of wire I need. If my switch is 4ft off the floor and going into the basement will be my easiest way to run the wire, and my room is 10ft wide. I will need 25ft of 14-3 romex wire. The extra 6ft is just incase better to have to much than not enough. next in the basement and wall you will need to secure the wire so staples are needed. Because the old switch is single pole you will need 2 3-way switches. Since one switch already existed you only need one wall box and switch cover. You can get all of the materials a one of the many hardware stores the three top choices are Home Depot, Lowes, or Ace Hardware.
