After roughing in your new three way switches there is a simpl way to connect to the switches and the original light(s). You want to start at the end switch first so that you don't get too confused.End all wires onto the following scress posts starting with the white wire. Put the white wire to the black screw, and the red and black wire to the other screws (just remember what screws they went to). Go back to where the original switch was and begin to land the wires onto that switch the black and red from the other switch to the same screws as the other switch. There will be another black wire in the box which is older and noticably older that goes to the other black screw on that switch. and the remaing wires one from the switch and one from the light will be wire nutted together. Do not place the covers onto the switches until testing.
